Dr. Luke Murray
Luke Murray is the IFC’s Berkel Chair of Theology.
An addition to his passion for teaching the faith and clarifying misconceptions about Catholicism, Dr. Murray seeks to encourage dialogue between Christianity and the Academy and broader culture. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at KU Leuven (Belgium) studying Jesuit biblical studies in the 16th and 17th centuries. His most recent publication is a book entitled: Jesuit Biblical Studies after Trent: Franciscus Toletus & Cornelius a Lapide (Göttingen: Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, 2019). In addition, to his STL and PhD and in Historical Theology (Early Modern Period) from KU Leuven, Dr. Murray also has a PhD in Systematic Theology from Ave Maria University.
Dr. Murray currently lives with in Lawrence with his wife Katie and their two young daughters.
